Chef Catarina Parreira

  • > Biography <

    Catarina Parreira is the Chef of the Winery’s Restaurant. From a very young age she developed a taste for good food and the enthusiasm to please through her cooking experiences. This passion led her to enrol in the Kitchen Management and Production  at the School of Hospitality and Tourism in Portalegre where she was an exemplary student, so gifted she was that she left no one indifferent. In order to improve her technique and gain further experience she worked in several renowned restaurants, amongst them the Pestana Group in the Algarve. She then took a decision to move back to her roots and it is here at our restaurant that she expresses and offers the best food the Alentejo has to offer.

    Chef Catarina has been leading the Adega Restaurant’s team since October 2017.

"Traditional food is the best way to show regional identity. Here at the Restarante da Adega, the restaurant at the winery, we try to be as faithful as possible to the origins of gastronomy in the Alentejo, and portray this land through the dishes we make with great passion and care."
