A tribute to the red queen of the Alentejo

Herdade do Moinho Branco Alicante Bouschet is a limited edition of 3116 numbered bottles and RibafreixoWines’ strong bet on a varietal that is typical to the region and near and dear to our hearts. Until now we have only used it in our blended wines, but the unmatched quality and outstanding character of the 2014 harvest persuaded us to launch our first-ever single varietal red  to celebrate our queen of the Alentejo. More than just a top-end wine, it is a sincere homage to the fact that this variety chose the Alentejo to display all its splendour and potential as in no other place. A truly special wine that was barrel fermented, then matured in new French oak casks for eighteen months and in bottle for a further twenty-six.
